Realty firm Smartworld Developers Pvt Ltd has raised Rs 250 crore from Motilal Oswal to build existing housing projects and fund future growth plans. Smartworld Developers, which has been set up by promoters of M3M Group in 2021, in October last year announced an investment of around Rs 3,000 crore to develop the company's first two residential projects in Gurugram.

The Chandigarh municipal corporation sealed three commercial properties in Industrial Area Phase-1 for non-payment of property tax. Following the directions of municipal commissioner Anindita Mitra, a team of property tax wing of the civic body authority took action against property owners, who had not cleared Rs 7.21 lakh in taxes.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) signed an agreement with Sutra Consultation Private Limited, a private agency, for a survey to identify genuine beneficiaries of land rights among slum dwellers. The survey called Urban Slum Household Area (USHA) will be conducted in 436 slums under the state government’s Jaga Mission to provide land rights to slum dwellers.

Residents of Ranhera, the largest among the six villages whose land would be acquired for the second phase of Noida International Airport, staged a protest outside the YEIDA office in Greater Noida's Sector Omega 1 against the proposed rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) site at Falaida Bangar cut. The villagers said the new R&R site is 30km away from the Jewar airport project site and it would also be devoid of local markets and other facilities.

Kochi Zonal Unit of the directorate general of GST intelligence (DGGI) has unearthed large scale evasion of GST in the real estate sector in Kerala. Officers of the unit initiated a search and summon proceedings against 15 real estate firms operating in Kerala. The detection in this regard stands at Rs 50.84 crore and a recovery of Rs 26.01 crore has been made,” the statement said.

Capital markets regulator Sebi will auction as many as 10 properties of Bishal Group of companies on November 30 to recover money that was illegally raised by the firms from the public. The 10 properties put on the block are vacant lands and a residential property located in West Bengal. Total reserve price of these properties is pegged at Rs 14.4 crore.

The Noida Authority has allowed Wave Group to register around 300 properties in its Megacity Centre project after the company cleared Rs 16 crore in lease dues earlier this month. The properties include both commercial and residential units. Wave Group is committed to fulfilling its commitment to homebuyers. The Wave Megacity Centre project was launched across 6.6 lakh sqm in sectors 25 and 32 in 2011-12.
