Residential sector grows 15% across top eight cities in Q3 2022: Report

Residential sector saw an annual growth of 15% in July-September 2022. Sold 73,691 housing units across top eight cities in the country from 64,010 in Q3 2021. All markets saw average prices increase in the range of 3% to 10% YoY during this period.

Mohali development body's EWS flat scheme in hibernation mode

The housing scheme for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), mooted by the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), has gone into hibernation mode as even after many efforts, the authority has failed to launch the scheme till date. In total, GMADA was planning to construct 22,000 flats for the EWS, for which the authority has already acquired 230 acres of land for the project.

Qualcomm leases over 1.8 million sq ft space in K Raheja's Hyderabad IT park

American multinational corporation Qualcomm has picked up over 1.8 million sq ft spread over an entire 20-storey commercial tower in realty developer K Raheja Corp’s information technology park in Hyderabad. The new office is expected to accommodate over 17,000 employees, including its existing staff in Hyderabad that is expected to shift here and new joinees.

MahaRERA orders Cornerstone to pay compensation over change of flat plan and delay

The MahaRERA has directed the developer of a project in Worli to pay a compensation of Rs 15 lakh — Rs 14 lakh for “loss of opportunity and loss of comfort for lifelong users” and Rs 1 lakh as compensation for mental agony to a couple. However, the developer failed to allot the flats or enter into an agreement of sale and amended the sanctioned plans without consent and changed it to 2 BHK flats measuring 900 sq ft.

Lucknow development body to construct housing complex in green corridor

Lucknow Development Authority announced plans to develop a multi-storey housing and commercial complex in the green corridor along Gomti. LDA vice chairperson Indramani Tripathi instructed the members of Project Implementation Unit (PIU), constituted for the implementation of the project, to prepare a land bank after conducting a survey of the route.

Construction waste recycling facility at Cunchelim: Goa environment minister

Environment minister Nilesh Cabral said that the state government has decided to set up construction and demolition (C&D) waste recycling facility at Cunchelim, Mapusa. “The site has been identified. It is government property and we plan to set up a construction and demolition waste recycling facility plant there,” he said.
