The MahaRERA has directed the developer of a project in Worli to pay a compensation of Rs 15 lakh — Rs 14 lakh for “loss of opportunity and loss of comfort for lifelong users” and Rs 1 lakh as compensation for mental agony to a couple. However, the developer failed to allot the flats or enter into an agreement of sale and amended the sanctioned plans without consent and changed it to 2 BHK flats measuring 900 sq ft.

American multinational corporation Qualcomm has picked up over 1.8 million sq ft spread over an entire 20-storey commercial tower in realty developer K Raheja Corp’s information technology park in Hyderabad. The new office is expected to accommodate over 17,000 employees, including its existing staff in Hyderabad that is expected to shift here and new joinees.

The civic body has decided to conduct GIS (geographical information system) mapping of the entire Nashik city to help in planning various development works. The work has been started through two private agencies. The Nashik Municipal Corporation will be doing the mapping in five divisions of the civic body, covering almost 85% of the city.

Sequoia Capital backed-Invictus Insurance Broking, which operates online insurance platform Turtlemint and one of its group companies Fintech Blue Solutions have leased over 35,000 sq ft office space at The ORB complex near the Mumbai airport for a five-year tenure from Chalet Hotels, a K Raheja Corp company. The occupiers will be paying rentals worth around Rs 28 crore during the total term of the lease.

Ajmera Realty & Infra India (ARIIL) recorded sales value of Rs 166 crore in Q2 FY23 up 82% year-on-year from Rs 91 crore it registered in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. The carpet area sold by ARIIL was 79,976 sq ft in Q2 FY23 which was an incremental growth of 49% from 53,801 sq ft in Q2 FY22.
