Joint development agreements must be registered: Goa RERA

Builders and land owners need to register joint development agreements with the sub-registrars office before approaching the Goa Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) for permissions. It would crack the whip on builders and real estate developers who submit only a memorandum of understanding claiming that a joint development agreement will be filed later.

Dutch house prices fell 5.8% in third quarter

Dutch house prices in the third quarter fell 5.8% from the previous three months. The Union of Estate Agents (NVM) attributed the decline to rising mortgage rates. Average Dutch interest rates on a 20-year mortgage without state-backed guarantees have risen to 4.3% from about 1.4% late last year.

About 100 'lapsed' housing projects likely to get showcause notices from MahaRERA

The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) issued showcause notices to 44 lapsed real estate projects in the state, with plans to issue a total of 100 such notices by the end of October. Most of these projects are in Pune and Mumbai. The authority has given a month's time to developers to respond to the notices and explain why their projects lapsed.

WeWork India leases 3.62 lakh sq ft office space in two buildings in Bengaluru

WeWork India, a flexible workspace provider, has signed lease agreements for two new buildings namely Embassy One & Kalyani Roshni Tech Hub in Bengaluru. The workspace at Kalyani Roshni Tech Hub spans over 310,000 sq ft. It houses over 5,000 desks spread over eight floors. Embassy One is spread across over 52,000 sq ft with a capacity of over 600 desks across two floors.

Macrotech Developers pre-sales bookings up 57% to Rs 3,148 crore in Q2

Macrotech Developers, erstwhile Lodha Developers, has registered 57% year-on-year growth in pre-sales at Rs 3,148 crore for Q2 FY23. It recorded pre-sales of Rs 6,004 crore in H1 FY23. Lodha's net debt reduced to Rs 8,796 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year. Company's collections in India were Rs 2,375 crore, up 24% year-on-year in Q2 FY23.

Flex spaces to account for 20% market share of total office leasing by 2022-end: Report

Flexible workspaces across India’s six major cities are expected to account for 20% market share of the overall office space demand reaching 12 million sq ft by the end of 2022. Co-working operators have leased over 75,000 seats in H1 2022, compared to 60,000 seats in 2021. Almost 75% of the demand for co-working desks in H1 2022 can be attributed to the three largest flex markets - 45% in Bengaluru, 20% in Pune, and 10% in Hyderabad.

Gurugram: Owners de-seal illegal flats, DTCP razes 27 units partially in Palam Vihar

The enforcement wing of the department of town and country planning (DTCP) partially demolished 27 flats in Palam Vihar area after developers and property owners unlocked these units that were sealed by the authorities and started remaining construction again. As many as 32 flats, illegally constructed by developers in the area, were recently sealed by DTCP.

YEIDA plans to launch mixed-land scheme for industries & houses on same plot

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has planned to launch a mixed-land scheme under which industries will set up along with commercial and residential structures on the same premises. While allottees can develop industry on 75% of the land allotted to them, the remaining plot can be used for residential, commercial and even institutional purposes.

Nashik civic chief wants fresh survey of properties to bring them under tax net

Commissioner of the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) Chandrakant Pulkundwar has directed the civic officials to conduct fresh surveys of properties across six divisions of the city in order to bring new properties under the tax net. This is part of measures to increase the NMC’s revenue.
