Puravankara's sales bookings up 43% to record Rs 1,306 crore in Apr-Sep 2022

Bengaluru-based realty firm Puravankara Ltd's sales bookings have risen 43 per cent to a record Rs 1,306 crore during April-September period of this fiscal year on better housing demand. Its sales bookings stood at Rs 910 crore in the year-ago period. Company's sales bookings in volume terms rose 32 per cent to 1.76 million square feet during the first six months of this fiscal, from 1.33 million square feet in the year-ago period.

PMAY has become major medium for ushering in socio-economic change: Prime Minister

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) housing scheme has become a major instrument of socio-economic change in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said even as he slammed the political culture of 'Revdi' or freebies. In Madhya Pradesh, about 30 lakh houses have been built under the PMAY in the last eight years and another 9-10 lakh houses are being constructed, PM said.

Nashik civic body collects Rs 2.7 crore from property tax defaulters in three days

The Nashik Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) move to play the drums in front of the houses of property tax defaulters during three consecutive days last week has yielded good results as the civic body has received Rs 2.7 crore revenue from the defaulters. The property tax department has set a target of collecting Rs 250 crore.

Chandigarh civic body issues notices to 3,200 property tax defaulters

The Chandigarh municipal corporation has issued notices to around 3,200 property tax defaulters, who owe more than Rs 1 crore in total. As per the records of the MC, around 1,900 tax defaulters have been identified from residential category, while the rest around 1,300 defaulters fall in commercial category.

DLF's net profit increases by 26% in Q2 FY23

DLF has registered a growth of 26.20 per cent in its net consolidated profit during the quarter ended September 30, 2022. Its profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 477.20 crore in Q2 FY23 as against Rs 378.12 crore it recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.
