The state government has approved two town planning (TP) schemes for Uruli Devachi and Phursungi. These are the first TP schemes after a gap of nearly 40 years in Pune. The PMC and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) had declared three TP schemes some four years ago for the two areas.

COIMBATORE city corporation has started receiving applications for collecting property taxes from the newly-constructed buildings after a gap of nearly six months. The process was put on hold in April. The civic body had revised the property tax at the beginning of the current financial year based on the state government’s instructions.
