The Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has suspended the registration of the construction site near Gujarat University where seven labourers fell to their deaths from the 13th floor. The notice was issued to the construction company, Addis Realtech LLP, in Navrangpura to Project Addor Aspire II has been issued under section 36 of RERA Act, 2016.

The last day to avail 10% rebate on property tax dues saw huge rush at the municipal corporation (MC) suvidha centres of all the four zones where tax collection went on till late evening. The civic officials mopped up Rs 6 crore. However, the collection amount is going to rise as officials are yet to include the recovery done by the field staff and the online payment which continues till midnight.

Mortgage lender LIC Housing Finance hiked its lending rates by 0.50 per cent, hours after a similar move by the RBI. The company increased the LIC Housing Prime Lending Rate (LHPLR) by 0.50 per cent. LHPLR is the benchmark rate to which the interest rate on LIC HFL's loans are linked.

In a major relief to over 65,000 cooperative housing societies across Mumbai metro region, the state government has allowed them to hold their AGMs till December 31 and audit submissions till Oct 31. According to housing society federations due to Covid, several societies took time till March this year to clear their audit for earlier fiscal 2020-21 and thus had a backlog for recently ended fiscal 2021-22 to be cleared yet.

Hong Kong-based investment holding company CK Asset Holdings has agreed to divest property assets for HK$20.77 billion ($2.65 billion). The one and only issued share" in Aim Clever Holdings Limited, which indirectly owns assets such as 152 residential units in Hong Kong. ORIC-Borrett Ltd, owned by a sub-fund of LC Vision Capital VCC, which is managed by Singapore-based asset management group Sino Suisse Capital, will buy the Aim Clever stake.

Realty developer K Raheja Corp has acquired an over 1.5-acre land parcel in central Mumbai’s Sion locality from a public charitable trust K J Somaiya Trust for over Rs 120 crore. An additional 0.4-acre land parcel adjoining this plot will also be acquired by the developer through a separate transaction later.

Capital markets regulator Sebi came out with guidelines pertaining to preferential issues and institutional placement of units by emerging investment vehicles -- REIT and InvIT. The regulator has specified the manner of issuance of units under preferential issue as well as institutional placement by listed real estate investment trust (REIT) and infrastructure investment trust (InvIT), according to two separate circulars.

A 500 sq yard residential plot located in Sector 19 fetched Rs 8.90 crore against a reserve price of Rs 6.34 crore in the UT estate office property auction. The estate office had offered 12 residential plots on freehold basis. The rest of the sites will be re-auctioned, said a UT official.

The state government will soon announce the list of Mhada layouts that will be taken up for cluster redevelopment, said deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. Devendra Fadnavis announced that Mhada will be appointed as nodal agency for the redevelopment of Kamathipura and a cabinet decision will be taken soon.

INDORE: People failing to pay their property tax of their residential properties on time will now have to pay a heavy penalty from the next fiscal year. They wil have to pay more than 1.5 times their property tax in case of delay of a year or more, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) officials said.
