Kolkata: Hidco starts e-auction process for land off Bypass on freehold basis

The Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (Hidco) initiated the process of inviting applications to auction a 10-acre land at Chowbhaga in Nonadanga, located close to the E M Bypass stretch near Tagore Park, on a freehold basis for residential or commercial use or a mix of both. The starting bid has been fixed a Rs 177.3 crore and the e-auction slated for November 3.

Illegal colonies razed in Sohna, 14 acres freed

GURUGRAM: The enforcement team of town and country planning department (DTCP) cleared 14 acres of prime agricultural land in Sohna after razing four illegal colonies. During the drive, the department demolished more than 50 structures and 4.5 km road network in these colonies which were constructed in violation of Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act.

Dehradun: New software for property tax payments launched

The Dehradun Municipal Corporation (DMC) inaugurated its new software for tax payments, property mutation and grievance registration.Authorities believe the new software will be more user-friendly. Complaints from users about the online portal not working properly prompted the civic corporation to revamp its system.

Chandigarh: Solar plants all set to be a must for 10 marla houses

CHANDIGARH: A proposed change in building byelaws will make it mandatory for 10 marla (250 sq yard) area and above houses to have rooftop solar power plants, a condition applicable for houses of 500 marla (1 kanal) above at the moment. Complaints that mandatory provisions regarding capacity of solar plant and category of properties couldn't be adhered to because of building byelaw constraints had been pouring in regularly.

Registration expires, Haryana RERA bans sale & purchase in two projects

The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (H-Rera) has restrained the sale and purchase of units in two projects after their developers repeatedly failed to produce the documents required for registering them with the authority. H-Rera has also served show-cause notices to two other projects for not completing the registration process, which is mandatory.

Varde Partners invests Rs 400 crore in Chennai-based Casagrand

US-based alternative investment fund (AIF) Varde Partners has invested Rs 400 cr in Chennai-based real estate developer Casagrand Builder for purchase of land in Chennai for development. The money was invested against a portfolio of real estate projects and the builder has already drawn down Rs 200 crore.

No action against Bagmane Tech Park till law is followed: Karnataka HC

BENGALURU: In a relief for Bagmane Developers, the high court on Friday directed the authorities to not take any coercive steps regarding their 5.5-lakh-sqft tech park in Mahadevapura till the due process of law is accomplished. According to the petitioner, the commercial building in the schedule property was constructed as per the sanctioned plan and it has not deviated from the same.

Chandigarh to sell five-star hotel site in Sector 34

A five-star hotel site spread over 3.5 acres adjoining the road dividing sectors 33 and 34 is ready to be offered for sale at probably more than Rs 500 crore though the reserve price is not yet finalised.It is one of the four hotel sites in Sector 34 - two are yet to be taken up by the estate office, the third of 5 acres, adjacent to the 3.5- acre site, is in the pipeline.

La Residentia Developers' office sealed for not paying Rs 15 crore recovery dues

GREATER NOIDA: Authorities have sealed the office of realty firm La Residentia Developers Pvt Ltd for failing to refund Rs 15 crore to homebuyers of its La Residentia project in Techzone 4 despite repeated notices. La Residentia, launched in 2010, had a 2014 deadline. While some towers in the society are complete, the developer has not handed over all the flats in those; others are still under construction.

Nykaa E-Retail leases over 55,000 sq ft office space in Mumbai's Lower Parel

Nykaa E-Retail, a multi-brand cosmetics and fashion e-commerce platform, has leased over 55,000 sq ft of office space at Marathon Futurex in Mumbai’s Lower Parel. The company, listed on stock exchanges as FSN E-Commerce Ventures, will be paying rentals of Rs 69 lakh per month, taking its total payout to Rs 41.40 crore excluding the rental escalation. The agreement includes a clause to escalate lease rentals by 15% after the first 36 months.
