Realty firm Eldeco group said it has partnered with HDFC Capital to set up Rs 350 crore fund to develop residential projects across many cities. Eldeco Group had partnered with HDFC Capital Affordable Real Estate Fund 1 (H-CARE 1) to set up a Rs 150 crore platform for the development of low-rise and plotted development projects. Eldeco has identified four residential developments in Delhi-NCR, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for an initial investment of Rs 175 crore.

Billionaire Gautam Adani's son Karan will helm the cement firms his group has acquired to become India's second largest cement player and extend his burgeoning empire that spans from ports and energy to airports and telecom. The conglomerate named its founder chairman Gautam Adani as the head of Ambuja Cements. His son Karan, who currently heads the group's ports business, was named as a director of both the cement firms and as chairman of ACC Ltd.

Redevelopment projects approved by Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (Mhada) will no longer need approval from the housing department. In March 2019, the MVA had issued a circular making housing department clearance mandatory for all Mhada projects in light of the Patra chawl redevelopment scam.

More than 600 duplex houses in Sector 41 face demolition, with Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) serving "final" demolition notices to allottees. They started issuing the final demolition notices to the allottees of the dwelling units. So far, more than 400 notices have been issued, and more are under process.

Power discom Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has rolled out "unified billing" for single-point, multiple user electricity connections in the city's group housing societies that will allow it to generate separate bills for each flat, replacing the current system of a single bill beng generated for the whole society. Under single-point connections, DHBVN prepares one bill for the entire society, the developer or the RWA then prepares individual bills for the flats, clubbing backup and upkeep charges with the same.

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Gaur City Galaxy North Avenue 2 and removed all illegally constructed portions of a flat on the ground floor of Tower B. The move came after some residents made a complaint to the CEO of GNIDA Surendra Singh in a Jansunwai.

Members of around 1,700 families that had booked flats in the free sale component of three buildings of the controversial Patra Chawl redevelopment project in Goregaon but have not got their possession though the buildings are almost complete staged a protest outside Mhada's Bandra office. The Mhada-owned 46-acre property has been in the eye of the storm for the past four years after the original builder, Guruashish Construction, a subsidiary of HDIL, was unable to complete the rehabilitation project.

The Delhi Development Authority approved a proposal to allot 18 Commonwealth Games (CWG) flats to the Ministry of External Affairs and also fixed its disposal cost. At present, only 19 flats remain unsold at CWG. The price for disposal has been worked out as Rs 3,28,400 per sqm for the year 2022-2023. Besides, there are parking and freehold charges. DDA has offered five per cent discount on the aforesaid cost of flat and cost of parking.

Residents of Gulistan, an illegal ground-plus-nine-storey apartment building on Ismail Curtay Road in Pydhonie, continued to oppose its demolition and refused to vacate the building days after BMC began the razing process. With the Supreme Court clearing demolition, civic officials said police will have to forcibly evict the residents. The issue was raised in the assembly, and ward officials were suspended. The residents who stand to lose their homes have exhausted their legal battle too.

The Delhi Development Authority approved allotment of EWS flats constructed at Jailorwala Bagh and Ashok Vihar under an in situ slum rehabilitation project, a move that will benefit more than 1,640 households. There are about 1,640 households. Eligible households will be allotted these EWS flats through draw of lots.
