Tidco houses handed over to 5,000 beneficiaries in Visakhapatnam

CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Diwali gift has arrived three days before festival for housing beneficiaries of Vizag, said municipal administration and urban development minister A Suresh while handing over registration certificates and keys to 5,000 Tidco housing beneficiaries. The GVMC has identified 24,192 eligible beneficiaries for Tidco houses. While 22,936 houses are being constructed in the suburbs, 1,256 houses are coming up in various slums in the city.

Chandigarh civic body issues notices to 3,200 property tax defaulters

The Chandigarh municipal corporation has issued notices to around 3,200 property tax defaulters, who owe more than Rs 1 crore in total. As per the records of the MC, around 1,900 tax defaulters have been identified from residential category, while the rest around 1,300 defaulters fall in commercial category.

Nashik civic body collects Rs 2.7 crore from property tax defaulters in three days

The Nashik Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) move to play the drums in front of the houses of property tax defaulters during three consecutive days last week has yielded good results as the civic body has received Rs 2.7 crore revenue from the defaulters. The property tax department has set a target of collecting Rs 250 crore.

Maharashtra government nod for town planning schemes in Uruli Devachi, Phursungi

The state government has approved two town planning (TP) schemes for Uruli Devachi and Phursungi. These are the first TP schemes after a gap of nearly 40 years in Pune. The PMC and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) had declared three TP schemes some four years ago for the two areas.
