NAREDCO sets up finance committee to help builders in getting fund

To support and help its members, the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), an apex body formed under the aegis of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, has launched NAREDCO Finance Committee (NFC), which would enable developers to have easy access to funds based on merit and viability of the projects.

Chennai corporation appeals to residents to pay property tax before Nov 15

The Greater Chennai Corporation has appealed to residents to pay their property taxes before November 15 to avoid penalties. Following the property tax general revision for the first half of the financial year 2022-23, the general revision for the second half has been done now and the payment portals was opened on October 1.

Karza Technologies co-founder buys duplex in Mumbai for Rs 47.70 crore

Banking and financial intelligence solution provider Karza Technologies’ founder and CEO Omkar Shirhatti has purchased a luxury duplex apartment in Mumbai’s Khar locality for Rs 47.70 crore. Shirhatti has bought the apartment in Samarpan Building, Off Carter Road, directly from the developer Raghuleela Estates, a subsidiary of the Wadhwa Group.

UltraTech Cement's net profit falls 42% to Rs 759 crore in Q2 FY23

Aditya Birla group firm UltraTech Cement reported 42.09 per cent fall in its consolidated net profit at Rs 758.70 crore for the second quarter of FY23, citing higher operating costs due to inflationary headwinds. Its revenue from operations rose 15.61 per cent to Rs 13,892.69 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 12,016.78 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal.

Hong Kong cuts property tax, eases visa rules to attract talent

Hong Kong is cutting property taxes and easing visa rules for non-permanent residents to attract global talent and revive the city as an international financial hub. The property rule will refund extra stamp duties that non-permanent resident property buyers have to pay after they have stayed in the city for seven years.

Dehradun: Notices to 82 government departments for property tax default

Dehradun Municipal Corporation has sent notices to 82 government departments for failing to pay property taxes and has given them a month's time to submit necessary documents. DMC is in the process of identifying tax defaulters and had sent notices to individuals as well earlier this month. Few government departments had also been notified a couple of months ago.

Asian Paints to invest Rs 550 crore to set up white cement manufacturing facility in UAE

The overall investment would be approximately Rs 550 crore, to be invested over the next two years. The cost of the project would be funded through a combination of equity funding by Asian Paints & the other parties and external debt financing. Manufacturing plant setup will be in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

About 64 lakh homes completed under PMAY-Urban: Housing Minister

RAJKOT: Around 64 lakh houses have been completed and delivered under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U), Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri said. Under the scheme, 1.23 crore houses have been sanctioned.
