Visakhapatnam commissioner directs officials to prepare plans to distribute TIDCO houses

GVMC commissioner P Raja Babu directed the officials to prepare plans to distribute the TIDCO houses being constructed in various parts of the combined Visakhapatnam district. The housing colonies should get all the infrastructure, including electricity, water, drainage system, greenery, etc. Registrations should be completed for all the eligible beneficiaries.

Kolkata: KMRC to redevelop 26 houses razed in Bowbazar cave-in zone

The Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation (KMRC), implementing agency of East-West Metro, will take up reconstruction of 26 houses that had either collapsed or had to be razed in the Bowbazar cave-in zone. ​While 23 houses were pulled down after the first subsidence on August 31, 2019, three more houses were demolished after irreparable cracks developed in the subsidence in May this year.

Ambuja Cements allots 47.74 crore warrants to Adani family firm; raises Rs 5,000 crore

Ambuja Cements Ltd has issued 47.74 crore warrants to Adani family firm Harmonia Trade and Investment and raised Rs 5,000 crore. Ambuja Cement, now a part of Adani Cement, has issued 47.74 crore warrants at a price band of Rs 418.87. As per the terms and conditions, the Adani group family has contributed Rs 5,000.15 crore, which is "25 per cent of the Limited issued price".

Two L&T firms eye 1.4 million sq ft in group's office park in Chennai

Technology firms L&T Infotech (LTI) and L&T Technology Services (LTTS) are in talks to pre-lease around 1.4 million sq ft of office space in Chennai's largest commercial space. Bardez mamlatdar Dasharath Gawas has attached the ground plus two bungalow of builder Venkatesh Prabhu Moni, proprietor of Prabhu Constructions at Salvador do Mundo. Possession was handed over to Canara Bank to whom he has defaulted on loan repayment.An order directing Moni to vacate the bungalow measuring 7,681sqm, and to hand over possession within 48 hours.

CBI files charge sheet against DHFL's ex-CMD Kapil Wadhawan, 74 others

The CBI filed a charge sheet against former Dewan Housing Finance Ltd (DHFL) CMD Kapil Wadhawan and 74 others in connection with a Rs 34,615 crore bank fraud case. In its charge sheet filed before a Special CBI court here, the agency has also named then director Dheeraj Wadhawan and former CEO Harshil Mehta as accused in the mega-scam case.

ED attaches over Rs 1,300 crore worth assets in money laundering case against IREO, promoters

The Enforcement Directorate has attached assets worth more than Rs 1,317 crore of real estate group IREO, its managing director and vice president Lalit Goyal and associated entities as part of a money laundering investigation. The attached properties include land, commercial spaces, plots, residential houses and bank accounts.

Heidelberg Cement India net profit falls 88% in July-September 2022

Heidelberg Cement India Ltd reported a decline of 88.23 per cent in its net profit to Rs 7.01 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2022, citing lower sales volume. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 59.56 crore in the year-ago period. Its total revenue from operation was down 12.21 per cent to Rs 506.05 crore during the quarter.
